SITUATION: The hotel built in 1972, offers guests a 360-degree view of the gorgeous Houston skyline in its notable rotating restaurant. But, high operating cost and guests complaints about unbearable room temperatures were interfering with the high-end experience the Hyatt Hotel wanted to provide.
SOLUTION: An efficiency company hired by the Hyatt teamed up with a local Enerlogic broker company to, not only to install Enerlogic window film on the hotel for energy efficiency and temperature control, but also to measure and prove the results of the Enerlogic application.
RESULT: Enerlogic Low-E film was applied because of its superior, four seasons, energy conservation qualities. It performed wonderfully as expected. An extensive sub-metering system, installed to specifically measure the vast amount of data from this project showed a 23% less energy for cooling the hotel and 25% less energy for heating. This translated to hundreds of thousands of dollars of monetary savings each year!
